Mauritzfontein’s increasingly successful resident stallion Ideal World had another day to remember on Good Friday when his progeny won a pair of feature races at Fairview.
Ideal World’s five-year-old daughter Onesie became her sire’s 20th individual stakes winner when she defied her starting price to win the Listed Glenlair Trophy by one and a half lengths.
Trained by her part-owner Jacques Strydom, the Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein bred Onesie received a shrewd ride from jockey Greg Cheyne, who did well to get his mount to overcome a muddling pace and pick up the first feature race of her career.
