Mauritzfontein’s resident Kingmambo horse Ideal World has been in good of late and the regally bred stallion was at it again when Ideal World supplied two winners at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Wednesday afternoon.
Ideal World’s first success on Wednesday came when his four-year-old daughter Sea Goddess claimed the third race at Greyville. Under Richard Fourie, the Louis Goosen trained filly stormed home to score by just under a length.
Bred by Summerhill Stud, Sea Goddess, who is out of the Admire Man mare Admiral’s Eye, has now won four times, with the inform filly having won two of her last four starts.
Ideal World is also the sire of Pongola, who justified favouritism when he won the fourth race on Wednesday. Another bred by Summerhill Stud, four-year-old Pongola stayed on strongly under Rachel Venniker to claim Wednesday’s Follow In The Box Seat Podcast MR 67 Handicap (1800m) by just over half a length.
Trained by Michael Roberts, Pongola is out of the Kahal mare Checcetti.
His sire Ideal World is responsible for 31 stakes winners including 2020-2021 Horse Of The Year and five time G1 winner Rainbow Bridge.
Ideal World has two colts on offer at Sunday’s November Two Year Old Sale.
