Mauritzfontein’s Danon Platina looks to have a very progressive filly to his name in the form of Regeneration.
The latter made it two wins from two starts when running out a convincing winner at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday and she looks to have a bright future ahead of her.
Trained by Robbie Hill, three-year-old Regeneration had won impressively on debut and duly followed up on Sunday.
Under Jabu Jacobs, the daughter of Danon Platina unleashed a fine turn of foot which saw Regeneration storm away from her rivals to claim the GallopTV Youtube Channel FM 73 Handicap (1400m) by just over a length and a half.
Bred by Varsfontein Stud, Regeneration was an R80 000 buy from the 2023 November Two Year Old Sale.
The filly is out of the Champs Elysees mare Redesign.
Regeneration was one of two winners for Danon Platina at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday. Deep Impact’s champion son is also the sire of Grand Occasion, who was a game winner of Sunday’s Catch KZN Racing via live streaming on www.galloptv.co.za Maiden Plate (F and M) over 1600 metres.
That Michael Roberts trained filly dug down deep to shed her maiden with a head victory.
Bred by Boland Stud, Grand Occasion is out of the Visionaire mare Missibaba.
Danon Platina, whose son Rich Folks Hoax had won at Hollywoodbets Kenilworth on Saturday, is enjoying a good run of success this season with his son Great Plains victorious in the recent G3 Cape Classic, and another son, Luhamba Phambili, having won the Need For Speed Sprint.
