Mauritzfontein’s G1 winning stallion Danon Platina looks to have come up with a progressive filly in the form of Boozy Susie.
The latter made it three wins in a row when she won at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Wednesday.
Under Callan Murray, the James Crawford trained four-year-old hit the front someway out and kept finding gamely to land the RCS Two Year Old Sale 24 October Middle Stakes (F&M) (1400m) by half a length.
Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, the unassuming Boozy Susie has won four of 15 starts for her owners Hollywood Racing.
Boozy Susie, whose connections feel she can pick up black type this season, is out of the Var mare Elle Va.
The filly was an R80 000 buy from the 2024 Cape Yearling Sale and she is bred on the same Danon Platina/Var cross as G3 Cape Classic winner Great Plains
