Ideal World’s first winner on Thursday came in the form of Rosy Lemon, who justified considerable betting support when she won the www.soccer6.co.za FM 76 Handicap over 2000 metres.
Under Muzi Yeni, the Fanie Bronkhurst trained four-year-old streaked home to win as she liked by nearly two and three-quarter lengths.
The race was a triumph for Ideal World, with Rosy Lemon beating her paternal half-sister Universal Love into third, and Ideal World also featuring as the broodmare sire of fourth place finisher Ideal Future.

She is out of the Strike Smartly mare Lemonade and is thus bred on the same Ideal World/Strike Smartly cross as G3 Track And Ball Derby winner Cape Speed and fellow stakes winners Betula Uber and Kimberley Star.
Ideal World ended the day on a high note when his Alec Laird trained daughter Quantum caused a 20-1 surprise when she won the eighth and final race run at Turffontein on Thursday.
