Mauritzfontein’s consistently successful stallion Ideal World looks to have yet another smart sort to his name in the form of progressive colt Diani.
That Ideal World sired three-year-old made it four wins on the trot when victorious at Hollywoodbets Scottsville on Sunday.
One of three winners on the card for jockey Keagan De Melo, the Dennis Bosch trained Diani defied 60kgs when running out an impressive winner of Sunday’s www.goldcircle.co.za MR 76 Handicap (1400m).
Settled just off the pace early on, Diani hit the front 300m from home and kept finding more in the closing stages to win by nearly a length.
The colt, who looks destined for bigger things, has now won four of just six starts.
Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Diani is out of the Tiger Ridge mare Mombasa.
Ideal World also enjoyed success at Fairview on Friday, where his smart daughter Ideal Angel won for an eighth time when landing a pinancle stakes over 2000 metres.
Already sire of 29 stakes winners, including former Horse Of The Year Rainbow Bridge, Ideal World has four lots on offer at the 2023 Cape Yearling Sale.
