Trained by Dean Kannemeyer, the Danon Platina colt made a big impression when he won the Race Coast -Bright Future For SA Horse Racing Maiden Juvenile Plate (1200m).

Under Craig Zackey, Aristocratic unleashed a smart turn of foot which saw him mow down his rivals and get up to win going away by more than three and a quarter lengths.

Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Aristocratic is out of the Silvano mare Simply Royal.

The colt was a R900 000 purchase from the 2024 National Yearling Sale.

Aristocratic is the seventh two-year-old winner this season for his sire Danon Platina, who was Japan’s Champion 2YO Colt of 2014.

Danon Platina’s other juvenile winners this season include the aforementioned Absolutely Yes and the promising debut winner Limerick Lace. The latter is set to contest Sunday’s Highveld Winter Juvenile Fillies Stakes at Turffontein.
