Mauritzfontein’s Deep Impact stallion Danon Platina looks to have come up with a very smart gelding from his first crop in the form of Romance In Rome.
The latter made it two wins from just four starts when romping home to a facile win at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday.
An impressive maiden winner last time out, the Michael Miller trained Romance In Rome hit the front 200m from home and powered away to land Sunday’s Catch KZN Racing Via Live Streaming On www.galloptv.co.za Juvenile Plate (1400m) by three lengths.
Bred by Riethuiskraal Stud, Romance In Rome is out of the Captain Al mare Bella Ragazza.
The gelding was a R90 000 buy from the 2022 KZN Yearling Sale.
His sire Danon Platina is also responsible for recent runner up finishers French Impact, Unconquerable Lady, and Platina Princess.
