Mauritzfontein’s well performed resident stallion Danon Platina came up with his second winner in the past three days when his daughter Unconquerable Lady romped home at Hollywoodbets Durbanville on Tuesday.
The former Japanese champion had also enjoyed success at Hollywoodbets Greyville on Sunday when his son Romance In Rome won the first race on that card.
Trained by Candice Bass-Robinson, two-year-old Unconquerable Lady turned Tuesday’s Hollywoodbets Durbanville Welcomes You Maiden Juvenile (Fillies) (1000m) into a one horse race.
Under Keagan De Melo, Unconquerable Lady was always up with the pace in Tuesday’s contest, and pulled away nicely in the closing stages to score a shade cosily by three-parts of a length.
Bred by Wilgerbosdrift & Mauritzfontein, Unconquerable Lady is out of the Dixieland Band mare Tally Blue.
The filly was an R400 000 buy from the 2022 KZN Yearling Sale.
Danon Platina, Japan’s Champion 2YO Colt of 2014, has 22 lots on offer at the upcoming National Yearling Sale.
